Maltese have unique characteristics: They are very social animals; they are loyal, protective and easy to train. Maltese are single coated, so they do not have dander. Maltese love to travel and can be taken just about anywhere most hotels or motels will accept a Maltese Visit. They stay Puppy-like nature throughout their lives. They have a good life span if fed and care for correctly. If the Maltese is in a puppy clip, bathing should be done at least twice a month and a clip once a month. It is believed that the Maltese used to be cave dwellers so they are inclined by nature to enjoy a small space. Ask about crate training before buying a Maltese. Maltese are very good with children when supervised at all times when the child is young. Please ask questions on this subject.
